Sister Spotlight: Courtney Keen

There are a lot of moving parts that help keep our Monument Square restaurant thriving through every season. Our hard working team of sisters and brothers shows up every single day to make sure we do not disappoint the hungry sandwich lovers of Portland, which is why we thought it would be the perfect time to introduce you to our super star staff and let them tell you a little bit about themselves and what makes them who they are.

Our first Sister Spotlight is on Courtney Keen! She is from Gouldsboro, Maine, and has made Portland her home working for Sisters. Check out this interview we did with her:

What is your favorite Sisters Sandwich?

The Bard veggie (ask her to make one for you!)

Where is your favorite hang out spot in Portland?

The Eastern Prom

What is Portland’s best kept secret?

Print, my favorite bookstore. They’re giving books the reverence they deserve in a time when everything is digital.

If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be?

Bellyache by Billie Eillish or anything by David Bowie

Why did you choose to work for Sisters or in the food biz in general?

I fell into the food biz a long time ago, but Michaela’s enthusiasm drew me into Sisters, and the fun and supportive energy kept me here.

What empowers you?

Support from my friends.

Stay tuned for more Sisters Spotlight with the rest of our awesome staff!
